Ransom Note premiered my remix of Curses earlier in the week. Today it is released on Safer At Night via Beatport Juno Download and other reputable digital outlets. All part of an excellent package in my very humble opinion. 🙂
Right then. It’s out! Exclusively at Beatport til the 20th where it will be available else where but our debut collaboration is available now.
Bonar Bradberry & Ian Blevins – Black & Red EP feat El_Txef_A – Culprit LA
Thanks to Pete Tong & BBC Radio 1, Music is 4 Lovers Deep House Amsterdam and Data Transmission for hosting and premiering tracks and mixes so far.
I was kindly asked to compile a guest mix for Curses Rinse France show which aired this weekend. I’m not sure how many would have caught with the bank holiday well underway but it’s now up to listen. I’m working my way through the first half of the show now but you can catch my mix at 60 minutes with some music from Mura Oka, Feel my Bicep, Jens-Uwe Beyer, Not An Animal Records, Prins Thomas, Caltrop, Pisetzky XXXY, Lord Of The Isles Avalon Emerson, El_Txef_A and Dave DK
You can also listen in on mixcloud
It seems my EP on Vitalik Recordings has sneaked its way on to Beatport yesterday and is now available to purchase. It comes woth two very solid remixes from Soulade aka Ryan O Gorman Music.
Most of the tracks were made whilst sweating away in the living room of the apartment I shared with Andrew Livesey throughout the last 5 of my summer seasons in Ibiza hence the title of the EP. The other was made still with that vibe very much in mind but trying to forget I get a year older the next day
It seems Ny*ak debut EP on Ninja Tune off shoot Technicolour, is now in the shops. Well I’ve seen it in Juno Records and Phonica Records so far.
I’m quite proud to see our track ‘Xager‘ kicking off the EP and the reactions to it has been ace. Fans of it so far count Official Mr Scruff Laurent Garnier Breach Leon Vynehall to name a couple.
Moxie also featured ‘Xager’ in her Truants mix as well.
The EP also features Mark Hand & Misumami who feature on ‘Shadow’ all in all to make a cracking record. It looks, sounds and what I can only speculate, smells and tastes lovely as well.
“He teams up with ESP Institute’s Ian Blevins for a smooth deep house groove on “Xager”. It’s dusty and emotive, we’re loving that classic bleep bassline and hypnotising analogue pads.”
Thanks to Ransom Note as well who premiered the track
After a great reaction to my last EP, the second Ep for ESP Institute is now in the shops at such as Juno and Phonica. It was also a staff pick over at Piccadilly Records
‘Resume’ was made not long after I made ‘Hannibal’ so I was sort of in the same headspace and mood when I created it. ‘Poor Old Head’ was made on a Sunday afternoon after a particularly heavy night. It’s not something I do very often as a hangover usually ends up with me eating and being glued to the TV. i remember it being a fairly nice day and with the window open and sun shining it helped my ‘poor old head’ to make this. Some initial feedback from the EP tells me that Laurent Garnier is a fan, and if thats not a good enough reason to go out and grab the record I don’t know what is.
Massive thanks again goes To Andrew at ESP Institute for letting me release music on such a great label. Truly grateful.
We’ve been making for a lot of years but finally our first EP has been released via the excellent Saft label. It also includes a fanastic DJ Nature remix which I love, as I do a lot of his work.
We’ve had a lot of good feedback so far from Gnork, Frits Wentik, Jacques Renault, Ame, Robert Owens, Kiwi, Cottam, Moodymanc, Trevor Deep Jnr, Cassio Kohl, Brothers Vibe, Shadow Child, Red Rackem, Kiko Navarro
Go grab a copy now at Hardwax, Phonica, Decks, Red Eye Records, Rush Hour Unearthed and Juno
