IAN BLEVINS – RESUME/ POOR OLD HEAD – ESP INSTITUTE

After a great reaction to my last EP, the second Ep for ESP Institute is now in the shops at such as Juno and Phonica. It was also a staff pick over at Piccadilly Records

‘Resume’ was made not long after I made ‘Hannibal’ so I was sort of in the same headspace and mood when I created it. ‘Poor Old Head’ was made on a Sunday afternoon after a particularly heavy night. It’s not something I do very often as a hangover usually ends up with me eating and being glued to the TV. i remember it being a fairly nice day and with the window open and sun shining it helped my ‘poor old head’ to make this. Some initial feedback from the EP tells me that Laurent Garnier is a fan, and if thats not a good enough reason to go out and grab the record I don’t know what is.

Massive thanks again goes To Andrew at ESP Institute for letting me release music on such a great label. Truly grateful.

IAN BLEVINS GUEST MIX FOR ULTRADISKO ON HOXTON FM

At the turn of the New Year I supplied a guest for the Ultradisko show on Hoxton FM. The mix itself is full of my productions and collaboations with Bonar Bradberry and Ny*AK. Keep your eyes peeled for tracks on ESP Institute, Saft, Technicolour, Coastal Trax and Lyase to name but a few.

Host, Goron Everett supplies the 2nd half of the show which is great as well featuring tracks from DJ Sotofett, Levon Vincent and DJ Sprinkles. Enjoy.

IAN BLEVINS – HANNIBAL / WELCOME AUNT POLY – ESP INSTITUTE

After doing the rounds with a chosen few folk the last few month these tracks now see the light of day on Lovefingers fantastic ESP Institute. Given the quality of output on this label I’m extremely proud to be able to release music with them.

So far it’s gained support from Bicep, Young Marco, Moscoman, Man Power, Hammer, Bird Of Paradise, PBR Streetgang to name a few of the good folk giving it a lot of support.

It was first played to the masses at Burning Man be Lovefingers which you can check in this ace video around 39 minutes, though it’s worth listening and watching to the entire thing

Those I’ve seen who now have the record in their shops include Juno, Phonica, Piccadilly Records, Red Eye and Clone. If you’re local to the North East of England like myself 586 Records in Newcastle has copies also.

KMAH RADIO – BONAR BRADBERRY FEAT IAN BLEVINS – 11-11-15

Last week I had the honour of guesting Bonar Bradberry’s show at KMAH radio. A fairly young station based in Leeds but already has hosts such as Bill Brewster, Happa, Bambooman, John Heckle and Outlaws Yacht Club to name but a few.

The last hour was by myself and included a few current favourites as well as unreleased upcoming material on ESP Institute, Lyase, Technicolour, Keep it Zen and Saft.

So without further a do…
