Ian Blevins @ Shindig XXIII

On the 2nd May I got to play music at Shindig XXIII, a club night I started going to over a decade ago and one of I have many fond memories of. I played 3pm after the One20 chaps who had done a sterling job opening the tent, and before the mighty Detroit Swindle who were fantastic. Listening to back to this is a terrific reminder of the day and how much fun it was playing to a packed tent at that time in the afternoon.

Ian Blevins – Exclusive mix – Data Transmission

As part of our Futureboogie release and playing at Shindig XXIII I compiled a exclusive for Data Transmission. It features a few unreleased things from myself, a track from the Futureboogie EP as well as music from Al Gobi Roman Flügel Freerange Records Chymera Route 8 Lobster Theremin Frankey & Sandrino.

Tourist Radio 07 featuring Ian Blevins

The last of a few mixes that has been uploaded of late comes courtesy of a guest mix that was featured on the Tourist Radio show. A quality party that invites fantastic guests to great locations. For their next party they’ve Ivan Smagghe with support from Cubik. That should speak for itself for the calibre of guests they bring.

My mix starts around 1:10 in but don’t let that encourage to skip the rest of a wonderful show. Enjoy.

WOLF Music Presents…Ian Blevins

Only recently we invited Matt and Stu from Wolf Music up to Newcastle to play our That Old Chestnut party. Following in the footsteps of fellow pack member Greymatter. Needless to say they seemless from start to finish in what i thought was a fantastic party.

The lads have now asked myself to put together a mix for them which I was more than happy to oblige. Without further ado, here is 70 minutes of music I’ve picked and programmed. Enjoy.

Balearic Soul – Guest mix Ian Blevins 4.5.2014

Here is a selection of records that I compiled after a visit to India in early 2013. Music that was fed to my ears on beaches, buses, hammocks and through some very relaxed wobbly times. I always like compiling mixes after spending a good period of time somewhere. It provides a link to time and space often bringing back fond memories with good music. Not the worlds worst thing to do is it?

This mix was aired on Purple Radio on the Balearic Soul radio show this Sunday gone. It was also my birthday which was a very nice way to kick off the day by relistening to this selection.
