After doing the rounds with a chosen few folk the last few month these tracks now see the light of day on Lovefingers fantastic ESP Institute. Given the quality of output on this label I’m extremely proud to be able to release music with them.
It was first played to the masses at Burning Man be Lovefingers which you can check in this ace video around 39 minutes, though it’s worth listening and watching to the entire thing
Those I’ve seen who now have the record in their shops include Juno, Phonica, Piccadilly Records, Red Eye and Clone. If you’re local to the North East of England like myself 586 Records in Newcastle has copies also.[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/playlists/149570391" params="auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true" width="100%" height="450" iframe="true" /]
Another batch of tunes that have took a long time to see the light of day are finally going to be released on Sneaky Music. It features one solo track from myself and a brace of Al Gobi pieces. Alongside these are two excellent remixes by Ashworth and Bird Of Paradise. Thanks lads.

Many moons ago in Ibiza myself and Jem Haynes began making music together. After many hours of viewing and inspiration from a tv show named Treme we started our Second Line project. We’ve decided to release a few of our Al Gobi bits via bandcamp. These are tracks that we’ve been sitting on for a while and thought they should be out there in the light of day for people to hopefully enjoy. This first EP is ideal for warm summer days and nights we think. Hope you like it.
Thanks to David Kenney for the artwork and Rob Small for the mastering.

This is released courtesy of the ever impressive Disco Bloodbath chaps, on a label where we’ll be alongside names such as Waze & Odyessey, Mark E, Hand Plant, G & S, Jamie Blanco and Damon Martin to name a few.
This will be the first EP and have another scheduled for release next spring. Meanwhile its back to this one. At the beginning of Summer 2011, Jem Haynes moved to the flat directly above me. This was soon the beginning of regular coffee’s and music making sessions. After getting involved in a series called Treme, our Second Line guise was born as we sought inspiration in a lot of the songs, drums and rhythms from the music in the series for an EP.
Over a year and a half has gone by and in that time has seen these tracks tested around the globe, including We Love at Ministry of sound and Space in Ibiza where they have worked to full effect on a weekly basis. This debut EP is also the first release on Jem Haynes new Colour Series label. More music is in the pipeline currently from ourselves, Jem and Mike Peters. Check the Colour Series soundcloud for more
Positive feedback so far has come from Jozif, Orde Meikle, Gabriel Ananda, Nic Fanciulli, Luciano, Pete Tong, Sasha, C. Von Stroke, Bookashade, Chris Fortier, Anderson Noise, Dibby Dougherty, Benji Candelario, Lee curtis, Sander Kleinenberg, Rich Hawtin, Stephan Bodzin, ATFC, Tom Thorpe and Andrew Grant.
Here’s clips from two tracks on the EP. Click on the beatport link above for all of them.

Here’s a video I found also that someone posted of me playing Big Chief at for We Love at Green Valley in Brazil.
Over the last couple of winters myself and Phil Moody have been locked in the studio whittling away making alot of music. The first of these to be released comes on the ever lovely and popular Audio Parallax. The music released on this label is always of a very high standard so we were very happy to join such ranks. We’ve also recruited the local and brilliant talents of Last Waltz, 6th Finger and NY*AK to help out on the remix front and all deliver superbly.
A mention was also given to the EP and 6th Finger remix by our fine friends Feelmybicep here.
