Im very happy to tell everyone about this release, which is myself and Phils first release on wax. This is released courtesy of the ever impressive Disco Bloodbath chaps, on a label where we’ll be alongside names such as Waze & Odyessey, Mark E, Hand Plant, G & S, Jamie Blanco and Damon Martin to name a few.
This will be the first EP and have another scheduled for release next spring. Meanwhile its back to this one. On remixes duty we have Crooked Man aka DJ Parrot who got a nice review on Juno Plus and Wild Geese. We also got a nice review on the ace site that is Test pressing as well. Both are sterling.
So far i’ve seen Phonica, JUNO and Picadilly stock the 12″ but should be in most shops. Digital should be available somewhere down the road. Go on and get it bought!

Last week the lovely We Love lot uploaded a mix I have done, as I do every year, of alot of music I’ve enjoyed at vairous stages throughout the summer. You can visit this post here. Of course there’s too many to put up, but what is left is a selection of music that has recieved alot of airplay throughout the months of May to October. After we invited the Butter Side up chaps to host our Room 2 for our birthday we’re delighted to be invited down to play at their event at the Wire in Leeds on Friday 14th December. We will also be alongside Toby Tobias. Ace DJ, ace producer. Very much looking forward to this.

At the beginning of Summer 2011, Jem Haynes moved to the flat directly above me. This was soon the beginning of regular coffee’s and music making sessions. After getting involved in a series called Treme, our Second Line guise was born as we sought inspiration in a lot of the songs, drums and rhythms from the music in the series for an EP.
Over a year and a half has gone by and in that time has seen these tracks tested around the globe, including We Love at Ministry of sound and Space in Ibiza where they have worked to full effect on a weekly basis. This debut EP is also the first release on Jem Haynes new Colour Series label. More music is in the pipeline currently from ourselves, Jem and Mike Peters. Check the Colour Series soundcloud for more

This week im happy to be making a midweek jaunt through to Newcastle, in order to play one of Newcastles new midweek parties, Loop. Word is this has been ace since its opening so looking forward to getting stuck in. For more details see the links below.
Here is the first two hours of my set at We Love this summing on the terrace. Had huge fun being back in that room again and was glad to be leaving it full when I finished. Following myself was Technasia, James Zabiela and Groove Armada. Not bad company to be in.

After an excellent birthday bash at the Globe with Mano Le Tough and Butterside Up we hosting our first event at the Ktichen at the second time of asking. Travelling up we have Greymatter from the ever impressive Wolf Music stable who’s been on fire of late. Alongside ourselves we have asked Liam Vance, Kris Berry and ladys favourites RuDog Billionaire and BigL to hold down our cosy second room.
